What we work on
The types of situations we get involved in.
These are the kinds of situations we work with across healthcare staffing funding and UK care sector M&A.
Owner approaching retirement, no public process wanted
The situation
A care home owner with a long-established business was thinking about exit. He had spoken to two regional brokers but was not comfortable with the idea of marketing the business openly. He wanted a quiet approach to a small number of credible buyers.
Our role
We work with owners in exactly this situation. We identify buyers who are genuinely active in the market, make a direct and confidential approach, and manage the process without putting the business on any public platform.
Care group looking for acquisitions before they reach the market
The situation
A growing care operator wanted to expand into a specific region. They were not interested in businesses already being marketed by brokers. They wanted to identify owners who might be open to a conversation but had not yet committed to a sale process.
Our role
We map target businesses in a defined geography, make direct outreach to owners and facilitate introductions where there is genuine mutual interest. We do not approach businesses speculatively or without a clear buyer mandate.
Healthcare staffing agency covering weekly payroll on net 60 terms
The situation
A healthcare staffing agency placing nurses and locum staff was profitable but constantly stretched. Contractors were paid weekly while hospital clients paid on net 45 to 60 terms. Every new contract widened the gap, and the founders were starting to turn down placements they knew they could fill.
Our role
We work with specialist funding partners who focus on staffing, with facilities up to $15m. We qualify the situation first and, where there is a clear fit, handle the introduction and stay involved through to funding.
IT contract staffing firm on a factoring facility it had outgrown
The situation
An IT staffing firm had been factoring for several years but the business had tripled in size since the facility was arranged. The rate and advance terms no longer reflected the quality of the client book, and the service had become slow at exactly the moments speed mattered.
Our role
We assess whether a better structure exists through our funding partners. Where it does, we handle the introduction and support the transition. We are not searching the whole market. We work within a defined partner network.
